Widely used in Europe, the eurocage is a fold-down stackable tire rack designed to store large numbers of similar tires. This tire rack can hold 60 to 80 tires depending on their size. The tires are stored in a laced pattern to increase the number of tires per rack. It can be stacked 5 high when full of tires, amounting to 13 tires per square foot, which is the best capacity of all tire rack models. On the other hand, this requires a usable overhead clearance of almost 40 feet.
Stacking tire racks
When the racks are folded down, the stacking ratio is 8 to 1, so that 8 racks folded and stacked have the same height as one open rack. If you have large quantities of similar tires to store, the eurocage may well be your best choice. However, the tires have to be laced for the rack to hold the indicated numbers of tires.
Tire rack construction
The eurocage is very strong. Its 2 fold-down ends are made of steel tube with welds meeting Canadian Welding Bureau standards. The stacking caps are placed just inside the rack without protruding in any way so there is no loss of space between racks when stacked side by side. Steel decking covers the base of the tire rack to give employees safe, easy access to the tires. The base is also framed with steel tubing with fork guides on each side to ensure safe handling of the rack.

Foldable sides
A set of leg wrappers allows a single employee to work the ends of the rack. The latch is located right on the leg wrapper.
