The removable side tire rack is a storage unit for high-volume tires of the same or similar type, since they need to be stored in a laced pattern. Laced storage allows a significant increase in saved space. A single rack can hold 34 to 50 tires, depending on tire diameters, and these racks can be stacked 6 high. This warehousing solution offers one of the best warehouse space optimization rates.
Many tire distribution centres and tire warehouses use racks with removable sides along their receiving docks in order to quickly unload tires from trucks. In this way, savings are made in handling steps, time and money. Although it is mostly used for warehousing, this tire rack can also be used to ship high-volume tires.

Removable tire rack sides
The removable side tire rack has 2 sides that can be dismantled (photo B). Removing these sides causes no loss of rack rigidity or strength and at the same time allows you to reduce shipping costs and save floor space during slow periods. The 51” sides are set in special custom-designed sockets.
Portable tire rack
The removable side tire rack is a modular rack designed to be transportable. This feature offers considerable advantages over tire shelving. It allows for safe storage (approved by Workers’ Health & Safety) up to 25.5 feet high with no need for a costly mezzanine. The racks can be easily stacked and moved with a fork lift: 2 at a time when loaded with tires and 10 at a time when the racks are unloaded and have the sides removed (see photo C). In addition, these modular portable racks provide greater flexibility as they allow you to reorganize your warehousing quickly and easily.
Tire rack construction
The removable side tire rack is entirely made of 2” x 2” tubes for the posts and outer frame, and 1” square tubes on the inner frame. They are finished with baked powder coating.
