The passenger and light truck picking cage provides a safe way for employees to assemble orders. Tire picking cages are used mainly in tire distribution centres to speed up the job of preparing daily tire orders. The cage is designed to be moved with the fork on a picker lift. Officially approved for workplace health and safety, it allows employees to work in an entirely safe manner.
Bottom crossbars serve as guides for 2 rows with the tires set on their treads. Retractable bars can form a second deck in the cage. About 16 tires can stand on their treads and, with the 4 crossbars removed, about 25 can be stored in a laced pattern.
Avoid extra insurance premiums, health & safety fines and above all, industrial accidents. The picking cage is much safer than often uncertified homemade racks. Each end of the tire cage is equipped with a latch system that is specially adapted to work with most picker lifts. The passenger and light truck picking cage has a powder-coated finish to ensure a longer service life.
Wheel-mounted picking cage
The picking cage can be mounted on wheels. With two 6-inch fixed wheels and two 6-inch swivel wheels, the cage can be rolled easily by one person. This frees your forklift truck for other “vertical” applications.
Stackable cage
This tire order picking cage can be stacked up to 3 high to save warehouse space when not in use. For example, you can prepare orders in the cages ahead of time and stack them up while waiting to load. The picking cages are stackable even when mounted on wheels. The passenger and light truck picking cage has the same application as the heavy truck picking cage (MOPC-T), but for smaller tires.
