Truck tire stacking racks are used for stacked storage of tires for heavy trucks, buses and farm machinery. This versatile modular warehousing solution is a very popular storage system in North America. It holds 12 to 14 tires per rack stacked on their sides and the racks can be stacked 4 high.
Heavy truck and bus tire storage
The 92’’ x 40’’ pallet base is optimized to hold 2 stacks of 6 to 7 tires depending on their diameter. In this way, your employees will handle an average of 13 tires per rack as well as storing over 2 tires per square foot. Heavy truck and bus tires are usually stored directly on the floor stacked 7 or 8 high. So if your warehouse ceiling is 20 feet high, for example, you could stack the racks 3 high and you would be stacking the tires 18-21 high instead of just 8. That means a 55% increase in the number of tires in your warehouse – without building any additions!Portable tire rack
The truck tire stacking rack is a modular unit designed to be transportable. This feature offers considerable advantages over tire shelving. It allows for safe storage up to 21 feet high with no need for costly mezzanines or elevator systems. The racks can be easily stacked and moved with a fork lift. In addition, these modular portable racks give you greater flexibility as they allow you to reorganize your warehousing quickly and easily. They can be moved with a forklift or pallet truck.
Tire rack construction
The MTBR truck tire stacking rack is a very rugged unit. Its structural load-bearing capacity goes far beyond the required capacity. It is equipped with 4 removable corner posts that, when removed, do not reduce the rack’s structural capacity. They do however reduce shipping costs and save space in the tire warehouse during slower periods such as off seasons. The 61” posts fit into special custom-designed sockets. Without the posts, which are stowed flat between each pallet frame, the racks can be nested 20 high. Many tire distribution centres and tire warehouses use these racks along their receiving docks for fast unloading of trailers or containers with full loads of tires. In this way, you save handling steps, time and money.
